About Rojabo
Rojabo is a small business with big aspirations. We want to deliver personalized training programs that work to everyone who take their rowing seriously. We have worked dedicatedly to understand the secrets behind training plans that work. Having succeeded, we now work to share the sense of confidence and improvement, that comes from training right, with as many rowers as possible.
The founders
Rojabo was founded early 2008 by Bo Vestergaard and Jakob Øjvind Nielsen.
Bo Vestergaard
Bo is a former elite rower and national coach, formally trained as a dimploma coach and physiologist. - Bo is providing specialized rojabo workouts to the Danish rowing elite. - Bo's work includes: developing targeted seasonal time- and training plans, taylored to the practitioner's age and level, and developing detailed objectives, action plans and evaluations for / with individuals and teams Bo also teaches the understanding and use of sport psychology tools
Jakob Øjvind Nielsen
Jakob is the prime motor and entrepreneur behind Rojabo.com. While Bo was using the Rojabo models and methods in his work as a coach, Jakob was researching and developing the logic behind those models and methods, transforming it into math and building the computer systems that run in the background of Rojabo.com today. Over the last decade, concurrently with his Rojabo research, Jakob has been involved in starting up several web-companies, gaining experience which now helps to guide Rojabo.com. Jakob is a technical engineer and a former elite rower with Bo as his coach.
For both founders, the decision to start Rojabo means the culmination of more than a decade of in-depth research and experimentation with training plans for rowers and the beginning of a whole new era of sharing the fruits of their labor.
The future
We aim to provide training plans to everyone who take rowing seriously, and we hope to help raise the bar for competitive rowing. Once the mystery of planning is eliminated from training, we believe rowers will more easily fulfill their potential. With ambitions of this kind it goes without saying, we are in it for the long haul.
