Simple testing
Your Rojabo Training plan is calculated on the basis of two tests designed to reveal your current state of total rowing ability and your potential for improvement: the Power efficiency test and the Endurance test.
Power Efficiency Test
Power efficiency is a way of measuring the most important part of your rowing skills: your ability to transfer power from your body to your boat.
Following a set of simple instructions, you report your performance at different stroke rates.
Based on the results from your Power efficiency test, we estimate your Potential max on the 2000m. The estimate, of course, is no guarantee, but it gives you a pretty good idea of what you may expect from yourself if you put in the work. The closer you stick to your Power guide, the more you can rely on the estimate.
Endurance Test
The most important factor in rowing performance is endurance: does your energy carry you all the way across the finish line or do you tire on the last stretch?
You test your endurance through a simple, but tough, step-test. The step test shows exactly how much effort your body can provide before tiredness sets in.
Combining the results from the Endurance test and the Power efficiency test we calculate your Training schedule, which combines to give you the weekly intensity levels necessary to reach your season goal. Whenever you re-take the test, your Training schedule and Weekly intensities are re-calculated. That way, you are always traning according to your current needs.
